The Return to Sport, Return to Active Lifestyle Program focuses on getting you back into your sport, gym or the other activities that you enjoy in your daily life. We do this by working with you to overcome any muscular imbalances you may have acquired due to injuries, surgery, or just structural imbalances within the body.
Sometimes these imbalances can even be caused by sitting for long hours, slouching, or from engaging in your favorite sport or job. Repetitive motions, or lack thereof, can also cause overactive muscle groups while others are neglected.
With this program we do an in-depth assessment of your body's individual strengths and weaknesses. From there our trainer, who is certified in Corrective Exercise, will design both stretching and strengthening routines that cater to your body's specific needs.
Corrective Exercise training is structured around a four staged continuum which involve techniques that, over time, allow you to regain lost strength while training your brain and muscles to work together in an ideal fashion and get you back to the fitness or mobility level that you desire.
If you are already an athlete, and not currently recovering from an injury or surgery, this program can nonetheless help you to become better, faster, and more balanced than you already are.
And, as a less expensive alternative, the Return to Sport, Return to Active Lifestyle Program is an excellent way to achieve further mobility following traditional physical therapy. If you're uncertain, ask your doctor whether this program is right for you.
